Cactus Corner
littlerivernursery@msn.com

In our nursery, we grow a variety of cactus and other succulents that are native to and or acclimated to Sierra Vista, AZ, and of course, which are drought tolerant.  Nearly all of our cactus have been propagated by cuttings.

We live in USDA plant zone 8b.  The majority of the cacti in this album are growing in our yard.  A few we have simply grown in pots over the years, but all of them are good to grow in our zone.  The Opuntia indica might freeze on the tips, but the plant will survive.  In the spring time (at least the end of March), you can cut off the paddle just below the burn, and a new paddle will form.  Do not cut on a cactus once monsoon season starts.  The cactus tends to rot.  Wait until it drys out in the fall, or even the following spring.
